The “Mommy Makeover” refers to a combination of surgeries that help to restore the body to how it was prior to pregnancy and breastfeeding. Pregnancy causes the muscles in the abdomen to stretch out and also leaves many women with excess tissue that remains despite any amount of diet and exercise. Breastfeeding tends to leave the breasts deflated and sagging. A combination of a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) and either a breast lift (mastopexy) and/or implants (breast augmentation) is what most women desire to get their pre-baby bodies back. It is best to wait until you are finished having children and reach your ideal weight with diet and exercise before considering this type of procedure. We ultimately are concerned with our patients overall health, and encourage any patients that are interested in this type of procedure to be within 10-15 pounds of their target weight to achieve optimal results.
